Mechanical Aerator

Overview

Two flotation configurations

The Linsul Mechanical Aerator can be supplied with stainless steel or FRP floats, allowing the equipment to be adapted to the operational, environmental and construction characteristics of each project.

Stainless steel floats

Robust construction, industrial finish and high durability for applications that require resistance and operational reliability.

FRP floats

A lightweight, corrosion-resistant solution suitable for different environments and operating conditions in water and wastewater treatment systems.

The most suitable configuration is defined considering factors such as wastewater characteristics, installation conditions, operating environment and project specifications.

Features and operation

Technical details

The equipment works by mechanically agitating the water, introducing oxygen from the air into the water column. This is done by a rotor or impeller that, as it turns, creates an efficient mixture of air and water, increasing oxygen transfer. There are several types of mechanical aerators, including surface, submerged and floating models, each suited to different operating conditions, installations and needs for effective treatment.

Linsul Mechanical Aerators are widely used in wastewater treatment plants to oxygenate stabilization ponds, aeration tanks, anoxic systems and activated sludge systems, helping decompose organic matter and reducing the load of easily biodegradable contaminants.

In artificial lakes and recreational facilities, mechanical aerators are used to prevent eutrophication and improve water quality, ensuring a healthy environment for aquatic fauna and a safe one for recreational activities.

Our mechanical aerators are built with corrosion- and wear-resistant materials, offering durability with low maintenance, resulting in less downtime and lower operating costs. The aerators are available in various configurations and sizes and can be adapted to different water columns and different wastewaters under various treatment conditions, offering flexibility and robustness to meet the needs of each application.

The Linsul Mechanical Aerator is an indispensable tool in water and wastewater treatment, offering a solution for oxygenating biological processes. With its advantages in efficiency, durability and versatility, this equipment contributes significantly to improving water quality, environmental health and the sustainability of treatment systems. By choosing a mechanical aerator, industries and communities ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of their water treatment processes, promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.
