Reverse Osmosis
Reverse Osmosis is an advanced water treatment technology that uses semipermeable membranes to remove dissolved salts, minerals, organic matter, bacteria, viruses and other contaminants from water.
The process works by applying pressure, forcing the water through the membranes while the impurities are retained and discharged in a concentrate stream. The result is high-purity water, suitable for industrial applications, production processes and the generation of demineralized water.
Linsul develops Reverse Osmosis units tailored to each application, ensuring operational efficiency, reliability and performance in water treatment.
How Reverse Osmosis works
The Reverse Osmosis system works by pressurizing the feed water, forcing it through semipermeable membranes capable of separating dissolved salts, minerals and contaminants.
During this process, the treated water, called permeate, is directed for use in the industrial process, while the concentrated stream, also called reject, carries the contaminants retained by the membranes.
This technology is recommended for operations that require tight control of water quality, reduced dissolved salts and greater stability in production processes.
Manufacturing process
Linsul Reverse Osmosis units are designed and manufactured with a focus on performance, robustness and ease of operation.
Each system is developed according to the needs of the application, taking into account flow rate, feed water quality, treatment goal, recovery rate, level of automation and industrial process requirements.
The equipment is mounted on a metal skid, integrating components such as a cartridge filter, high-pressure pump, membrane vessels, control valves, sampling points, chemical dosing pumps, instrumentation and control panel.
This configuration makes the system easier to transport, install, operate and maintain.

We offer complete solutions for every stage of water treatment, developed to provide reliability, high performance and technical excellence in different applications.
System components
Static mixer
Provides homogeneous mixing of chemicals in the water, using fixed internal elements with no moving parts, ensuring greater efficiency in chemical treatment.
Cartridge filter
Retains fine suspended particles such as sand, rust, sludge and other solids, protecting the high-pressure pump and the membranes against clogging and premature wear.
High-pressure pump
Raises the water pressure so it can pass through the reverse osmosis membranes, allowing dissolved salts and impurities to be separated.
Chemical dosing pumps
Inject chemicals at a controlled flow rate, such as antiscalant, pH adjusters, chlorine or metabisulfite, according to operational needs.
Membrane vessels
House and protect the membrane elements, withstanding operating pressures and directing the water flow between permeate and concentrate.
Control valves
Allow control of pressure, permeate flow and recovery rate, contributing to stable, efficient and safe operation.
Sampling points
Make it easier to analyze system performance, allowing conductivity monitoring and the identification of possible efficiency losses.
Metal skid
Support structure that integrates the components, ensuring robustness, alignment, and ease of transport, installation and maintenance.
